he Cobourg Community Centre (CCC) is a 142,000 square foot complex designed as a multi- use cultural, arts, wellness, business, fitness and sports centre. The Centre includes a welcoming Grand Hall area - 'a community living room' complete with fireplace, comfortable seating and cafe - a place to meet old friends and make new ones; a sports and performance hall; four multi-purpose rooms; Senior Centre; Youth Centre; child minding room; indoor walking / running track; one 2000+ seat arena bowl with NHL size ice surface, digital scoreboard, press box and radiant under-floor heating (with concert seating for up to 4,000); one 400-seat practice arena; a mini-stick play area and more. Your new Cobourg Community Centre is a place for everyone to play, learn, connect and enjoy

Your new Cobourg Community Centre is designed to be multi-functional and welcome everyone in our community. Plans currently include:

  • Grand Hall lobby lounge with comfortable seating and fireplace
  • Cafe
  • Youth centre
  • Seniors centre
  • Three connected Multi-Purpose and meeting rooms
  • Child minding area
  • Public art displays
  • 2000 seat spectator feature arena with `bowl` seating, designed to accommodate games, concerts and special events
  • Professional style score board and time clock with digital and video readout
  • 400 seat spectator recreation and practice arena
  • Stick ball play area
  • Male, female and family changerooms with interior and exterior access
  • Walking � running track on second floor overlooking arena and grounds
  • Two 85` x 50` gymnasiums, divided by a flexible partition, which can be opened into one shared space, accessible to and from the Grand Hall, Youth, Seniors, Multi-Purpose and Child Minding spaces
  • Sustainable design, with LEED Silver Certification minimum, including ice plant heat recovery system, maximum use of natural light and ventilation, overall energy efficiency and minimal site disturbances, water consumption and material use
  • Access to softball and soccer fields
  • WiFi wireless interior communications
  • Advanced security system and monitoring
  • Bus and vehicle drop-off area
  • Safe pedestrian access and walking trails
  • All-season landscaping
  • Accessibility requirements to meet adopted Northumberland and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) standards
